Cleaning + Care

Wash your HydroJug before first use. All HydroJug water bottles aretop-rack dishwasher safe. However, to help preserve certain finishes, we recommendhand washing select designs. If you have questions, please reach out to our support team at support@owalapure.com. 

For best care, clean both the bottle and lid regularly — especially after using drinks other than water. After washing, allow all parts to air dry separately, and keep the straw flipped open to encourage airflow.

If your lid does get dirty, we recommend either immersing it in a vinegar bath or allowing it to soak in a mixture of equal parts dish soap, vinegar, and water. Following these steps will help keep your insulated water bottle and lid fresh and long-lasting.If you need more information.

Yes – both the lid and flip straw on the Traveler tumbler are top-rack dishwasher safe. For best results, place lids on the top rack and secure straws in a utensil basket or mesh bag. If you prefer hand washing, use warm soapy water and a small brush to deep-clean the straw, lid, and stainless steel cup interior. Avoid abrasive sponges to prevent scratches or fogging.

Which lids and straws are compatible with the travel tumblers?

The Traveler series has its own custom lid and circular flip straw system, designed specifically for the 20oz, 32oz, and 40oz sizes. These parts are not interchangeable with Sport, Pro, or Shaker bottles. For the best fit, stick with Traveler lids and straws – and if you need extras, replacements are always available on the Accessories page.

Can I use the Traveler flask to make hot drinks?
